STATEMENT

A painting is a fusion of form and colour just as a song is a fusion of lyrics and melody. That fusion connects with the viewer in a way that is immediate and visceral.

My approach is to take familiar themes (faces, places and so on) and present them in unfamiliar ways, either in form or colour or both. Sometimes subtle, sometimes not, my aim is to challenge and delight the viewer in seeing the world anew- especially through the prism of bright and bold colours.

Influences include Hockney, Kandinsky, Picasso, Warhol, Richter, Fauvists and Expressionists.
